Montreal retail stores reopened today after about 10 weeks, including downtown shopping street Ste-Catherine Street, and mask buyers said they were a little nervous about what wait – would other people hurry too much or keep their distance?
Most said they were pleasantly surprised – it was calm and people were respectful. But that does not mean that the sensation has returned to normal.
“I’m not sure that we necessarily want, for the rest of the time, to see salespeople with visors on and almost medical [gear] Said retail strategist Carl Boutet.
“I am sure we will find more user-friendly, warmer, more creative ways” to limit the spread of the coronavirus, he said.
