Office may leave Netflix in the near future to head to Peacock, but a new workplace comedy starring Steve Carell hopes to take the throne from the series.
Enter Space force. From the same creative team behind Office, the series follows the creation of the proposed sixth branch of the United States military. Carell plays a decorated Air Force general responsible for building the Space Force from scratch. Skeptical, but devoted, he uproots his entire family (daughter played by Diana Silvers of Booksmart) to move to a remote base in Colorado. Nobody believes in him, but that’s fine – he believes in him!
Well, after he calmed down in his office and softly sang “Kokomo” by the Beach Boys.
Space force also includes John Malkovich, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow, Lisa Kudrow and Don Lake. The sitcom will air on Netflix on May 29.
