Six more coronavirus deaths recorded at East London NHS Trust

Six new deaths from coronavirus have been confirmed in hospitals in east London today.

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University NHS Trust hospitals, which manage King George Hospital in Ilford and Queen’s Hospital in Romford, have not announced any new deaths.

Confidence has killed 400 people since the start of the pandemic yesterday.

Neighbor Barts Health NHS Trust, which runs Whipps Cross in Leytonstone and four other hospitals, has confirmed only six new deaths from the virus.

So far, confidence has seen 587 deaths among patients who tested positive for the new virus.

According to Public Health England, 160 people died from the virus yesterday, a slight decrease from the previous day.

This figure includes both hospitals, nursing homes and the community.

Yesterday, more than 2,600 people tested positive for the coronavirus.

Since the start of the pandemic, the disease has killed more than 31,000 people in England.

More than 11,600 people are believed to have died in British retirement homes to date.
