Xiaomi’s subsidiary Redmi today unveiled its latest phones with the 10X series. We get a 10X 5G and the 10X Pro as well as the 10X 4G which is a Redmi Note 9 renamed for the Chinese market. The new 10X 5G and 10X Pro offer dual mode and dual SIM 5G connectivity, AMOLED screens, Dimensity 820 chipsets and very competitive prices.
Up front, the 10X 5G and its brother Pro are equipped with 6.57-inch AMOLED displays with FHD + resolution and teardrop notches. The 10X 5G has a 16MP selfie while the Pro mounts it to 20MP. The panel of both also comes with a 180 Hz touch sample rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
On the back, both phones come with a 48-megapixel main shooter and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, but the Pro adds an 8-megapixel telephoto module with 3x optical zoom and OIS as well as a macro camera 5 megapixels.

Under the hood, we have the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset with 6/8 GB of RAM on the 10X 5G and 8 GB of RAM on the Pro. Storage ranges from 64 GB to 256 GB. The front of the software is covered by MIUI 12 in addition to Android 10. Both phones come with 4520 mAh batteries with a fast charge of 22.5 W on the 10X 5G and 33W on the 10X Pro. Both come with an IP53 rating and headphone jacks, and the Pro also wins NFC.
The Redmi 10X series will be offered in blue, pink, gold and white colors. The 10X 5G starts at 1599 CNY ($ 224) 6/64 GB, making it the most affordable 5G phone on the market. There is also a 6/128 GB model for 1799 CNY ($ 252) as well as an 8/128 GB version for 2099 CNY ($ 294) and an 8/256 GB model for 2399 CNY ($ 336). Official sales begin June 1.
The 10X Pro will be offered in 8/128 GB for 2229 CNY ($ 322) and in 8/256 GB configuration for 2599 CNY ($ 364). It will go on sale from June 6.
The Redmi 10X 4G already on sale from only 999 CNY ($ 140) in its 4/128 GB version, there is also a 6/128 GB model for 1199 CNY ($ 168).
