RACING received a welcome boost with the announcement that the French will resume on Monday.
Parisian police have given the green light to restart the sport in Longchamp next week.
The head of France Galop, Edouard de Rothschild, revealed the news on Twitter.
He said: “We obtained and received permission from the Paris police headquarters to resume racing on May 11.
“This is great news and a real victory! “
Races in France have been suspended since March 17, but the action will begin with a fanfare as Longchamp stages a map of the Group in charge.

All Group 1 races across the Channel have been reorganized, with the 2,000 and 1,000 French Guineas slated for June 1.
All other professional sports in France were suspended until September at the earliest.
The country becomes the last to resume closed-door racing, while the sport has continued in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and the United States.
Plans for a resumption of racing in Britain are at an advanced stage, with the BHA hoping to get the green light next week.
