Former Cowboys and Raiders who backed Darren McFadden were arrested for DUI in January 2019 after police found the 32-year-old man asleep at the wheel during a Whataburger drive-in in Texas.
“Is he alive?” One officer frantically asked the other two, according to a police video recently obtained by TMZ.
McFadden then stepped on the gas pedal, which panicked the three officers.
Officers shook the car back and forth to prevent it from moving, then used a flashlight to enter the vehicle and take over McFadden.
McFadden looked confused and then appeared to be trying to free himself from the cops, who eventually pulled out their pistols and pistols and watched him surrender.
McFadden was also charged with resisting arrest. He was sentenced to four days in prison.
McFadden last appeared in an NFL game with the Cowboys in 2017. He spent 10 seasons in the league after being taken by the Raiders with No. 4 pick in the NFL draft, and went rushed for 5,421 yards and 28 touchdowns.
