France has confirmed nearly 94,800 cases of illness, while nearly 54,000 people have fully recovered.
The number of coronavirus-related deaths in France has increased by 278 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to more than 25,800, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.
“Since March 1, we have been mourning the deaths of 25,809 people who died from COVID-19,” he added, adding that 16,237 died in hospitals and 9,572 died in retirement homes. To date, 23,983 patients are treated in hospitals, of which 833 have been hospitalized in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, 3,147 people with coronavirus are currently in intensive care units. The number of patients in intensive care units has decreased by 283 over the past day, confirming the current trend.
