The top scorer of all time in the history of Texas State men’s basketball, Beaumont-born Nijal Pearson will begin his professional career in France.
Pearson, a graduate of Central High School, signed with Chorale Roanne – a team that participates in the first division LNB Pro A.
In college, Pearson put together historical figures for the state of Texas. He was named Player of the Year for the 2019-20 Sunbelt after collecting an average of 19.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game as a senior.
He was a Super Gold selection from the first Beaumont Enterprise team while he was at Central High School.
