NICOLA Sturgeon is expected to announce its “road map” for Scotland today.
If progress is made in reducing the spread of the virus, the easing of measures is expected to begin on May 28, the next official date for review of the lockdown.
It occurs after the deaths of 50 other Scottish coronaviruses, bringing the official death toll to 2,184.
And weekly NRS figures have shown that there have been more than 3,500 deaths related to the virus.
Sturgeon admitted this week that her government had made mistakes during the pandemic.
The Prime Minister spoke of the “heavy burden” she feels on deaths from viruses and said she would always wonder if the right decisions had been made.
