New positive cases of COVID-19 significantly slowed indoors – Merritt Herald


Dr. Bonnie Henry has not reported any new indoor coronavirus cases in the past 48 hours.

The provincial health official has announced a total of 23 new cases in the province since Saturday, bringing the total to 2,353 cases in British Columbia.

Totals in the various health regions:

873 at Vancouver Health

1,118 in Fraser Health

125 in Island Health

180 in indoor health

57 in Northern Health.

The 180 inside is just another positive case discovered in the past two days.

Another death has been reported in the past two days, bringing the total for British Columbia to 130.

66 people are hospitalized, including 18 in intensive care.

Dr. Henry has made sure to remind citizens that “COVID-19 has not gone missing” and to continue to follow the province’s social distance guidelines.
