NBA owners, leaders increasingly optimistic about the resumption of the season, will make a decision in 2-4 weeks

NBA owners and executives were “growing positive” about returning to the NBA season after meeting Adam Silver, league sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The owners and managers were encouraged by a combination of the league process to minimize health risks, as well as the desire of the players to restart the season.

Players and team officials should probably familiarize themselves with the idea that the season will continue even if the players are positive for COVID-19.

The league will normalize coronavirus testing for the 30 teams if the season resumes.

It has not been decided whether all 30 teams will return, whether regular season games will be played or whether there will be a playoff tournament to give more teams a chance to qualify for the playoffs.

The league will make a decision in 2-4 weeks as it studies the trajectory of cases in states with relaxed restrictions, as well as how sports leagues around the world are handling their comeback.
