The NASCAR Wednesday Series Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been postponed due to rain and is now scheduled for Thursday evening at 7 p.m. EDT, and will be broadcast on FS1. The Alsco Uniforms 500 is expected to cover 208 turns of the 1.5 mile by 312 mile oval, just over 500 kilometers.

William Byron will lead a starting lineup that has been established by reversing the order of the Coca-Cola 600’s top 20, placing winner Brad Keselowski in 20th position. The bottom 20 were reversed for positions 21-40, but Jimmie Johnson will start last, even though he was ranked 40th because he was disqualified from the Coca-Cola 600 after his car failed an inspection after the race.

NASCAR also postponed the Xfinity series race scheduled for Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway until Monday at 7 p.m. because the shortened deadline would not give the Fox Sports broadcast team enough time to move on Saturday.
