Man Utd News: Real Madrid offer four players to Paul Pogba’s swap deal

Real Madrid are trying to tempt Manchester United to let Paul Pogba go this summer by making a quartet of players available as part of a swap deal.

La Liga has been suing Pogba since last summer and will rekindle its interest in the next transfer window, although it is unclear when this will open due to the coronavirus crisis.

The global health pandemic has caused economic uncertainty throughout football, to avoid offering huge sums of money to the French, Real is ready to offer four players as part of the agreement, reports the Sun.

Martin Odegaard is the most attractive of the four names, with Lucas Vazquez, James Rodriguez and Brahim Diaz also all on offer.

United is unlikely to be tempted by the offer, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now considering reinstating Pogba in the first team after missing much of the season by injury.

The World Cup winner has not started a match since September, but he is said to be back in shape after his ankle problem and will be available when the Premier League starts again – in June.

Solskjaer is excited about the prospect of lining up Pogba in midfielder with the signing in January of Bruno Fernandes, a partnership that makes United fans drool over the prospect of.

The duo trained together this week and after Fernandes’ dramatic start to the Premier League, they have the potential to form a dynamic midfielder trio alongside Fred, Scot McTominay or Nemanja Matic.

Pogba is only one year away from his current contract at Manchester United, but the club have the option to extend it for another year, which seems increasingly likely.

With clubs around the world short of cash, and Real Madrid’s not particularly attractive swap deal, Pogba is more likely to stay than to go.
