Liverpool and Jordan Henderson receive hint of Premier League trophy lifting

Liverpool could have shown the model of how they will raise their Premier League title crown once football resumes.

Last night Red Bull Salzburg beat Austria’s Lustenau 5-0 in the OFB Cup final, the Austrian national cup competition, with their carefully planned trophy celebrations slightly different to say the least.

Circles were drawn on the ground to show the players where to stand, keeping them two meters apart, despite the fact that they had just spent 90 minutes on the field playing normally.

The trophy was then distributed to the players so that each of them kept it in the air.

But, of course, there were no fans inside the stadium to celebrate the players, and the noise levels were strangely silent, as shown in the video below.

The trophy was the first piece of silverware from Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch in Europe. Earlier in the week, he spoke exclusively with ECHO on a variety of topics, including former Salzburg player Takumi Minamino.

Liverpool are now back at training at Melwood as they look to get back into shape after a three-month hiatus from competitive action.
