Law & Order SVU boss teases Christopher Meloni’s return

Christopher Meloni should resume his Law & Order: SVU role of Elliot Stabler in a new spin-off series, nine years after his retirement from the series.

But it turns out Law and order fans won’t have to wait for the spin-off to see Meloni as Stabler again.

In the final episode of the behind-the-scenes podcast, showrunner Warren Leight dropped a major bomb – Stabler will be in the first game of season 22.

“It’s pretty clear that Elliot will be in the Please season opener. I think I know a lot, “he said.

Leight then revealed that Elliott would not have appeared in PleaseThe season 21 finale is scheduled, but his wife and son are ready.

However, he added that if Kathy Stabler and her child will now appear in the first “remains to be seen”.

“There are a lot of moving parts,” said Leight, adding that the episode would not be “pretty much the Please opening of the season is how to help launch the new series, and how much crossover will there be between Elliot and Olivia as you go. “

The still untitled spin-off Stabler was announced in March and will be a series of 13 episodes around the NYPD organized crime unit led by Stabler.

Meloni played the role of Stabler in the first 12 seasons of the NBC show before retiring in 2011, with the character struck out when he suddenly retired from the police force.
