Katy Perry launches her fifth album with a new resilient song ‘Daisies’

Katy Perry has released a new anthemic single called “Daisies”. He’s stopping his fifth album cycle, preparing fans for his new, untitled album this summer.

“Daisies” is a burgeoning and stimulating song about the strength of the human spirit in the style of his hit song “Roar”. Perry reflects on the brilliant track on how she got back to the ground when she was knocked down. “They said I was going nowhere to try to count myself,” she sings. “I took these sticks and stones, I showed them that I could build a house / They tell me that I am crazy, but I will never let them change me /” Until they cover me with daisies, daisies, daisies. The outdoor video was shot and produced by director Liza Voloshin from a safe social distance.

Perry’s fifth album will be released on August 14. She will play “Daisies” live for the first time on Amazon through the Amazon Music performance series on Friday morning and she will also play it and give a lesson on how to play during her Friday night livestream for Houseparty’s “In the House. “Sunday, she will sing the song during the American Idol final.

His new album follows that of 2017 Witness. She followed this disc with the holiday single “Cozy Little Christmas” and returned in 2019 with a series of new songs, including a remix of “Con Calma” by Daddy Yankee and the collaboration “365” by Zedd. Perry also debuted several non-album singles, including the ballad “Never Worn White” earlier this year. In the video, she announced that she is expecting her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom.
