The Reds were in group training at the site on Wednesday for the first time in more than two months to begin the initial phase of the return to training protocol, with players working in limited groups before the contact training scheduled for weeks to come up.
Klopp was unable to work face-to-face with his team after the Premier League suspension on March 13 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
And the Reds boss was delighted to be reunited with players who helped the Reds break a 25-point record at the top and two first-title wins since 1990.
“Perfect, absolutely perfect,” said Klopp. “The sessions were perfectly organized, it’s all about football.
“These are little things, getting used to the pitch, the boots and the ball, the turns, the passes, the half passes, the smoother passes, the running, the small accelerations and stuff like that. Small finishes, no correct shot but few finishes, all that. looked really, really good, I have to say. If someone was worried about our fans, you don’t have to do it – the boys are in good shape. They’re all in good shape and I hope it stays that way, of course. ”
Alisson Becker, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri were all absent the last time Liverpool played in March against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League knockout stages against Anfield.
The Premier League continues to work on the resumption of the campaign on June 12, although there are strong suggestions that the date could be extended to a fortnight to give clubs more time to prepare their players. And while Klopp will treat the next few weeks in a similar way to preseason, he will miss a key aspect of a regular warm-up program.
“This is a preseason for us,” he said in an interview with liverpoolfc.com. “We don’t know how long and we won’t have test matches or friendlies, not really. Maybe we can organize it among ourselves when we are authorized, but it will not be the same as in the other preseason.
“But, no, it’s a preseason. Usually our players have two or three weeks of vacation per year, now they have nine weeks of vacation. It wasn’t vacation but it was nine weeks off.

“It’s good from a point of view – well, they really rested. On the other hand, of course, you cannot rest when you are worried about the situation in the world, not in the same way as you do on a real vacation.
“But that’s the situation and we have to make sure of it, and we will – we have already tested, so we know how fit the players are or how fit the individual player is – and then work from that.
“It’s like in a preseason. Then we have to make sure that we are as fit as possible for the first game; even for the second; and probably 100% for the third. Or whatever, it depends on how long we will have. ”
