Joao Palhinha breaks silence on transfer while wolves are in talks

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked to a summer move for Portuguese midfielder Joao Palhinha.

Sporting’s Palhinha has been on loan this season with Braga, playing 35 times in all competitions, and Nuno Espirito Santo has reportedly identified him as a transfer target.

He played in the two Europa League group matches against the Wolves, helping Braga to a famous 1-0 victory at Molineux before orchestrating the return in the 3-3 draw in Portugal.

According to a report to O Jogo (via TugaScout), the defensive midfielder was to join Sporting at the end of the season, with plans in place for him to be part of the first team.

However, it is now suggested that they could sell Palhinha for 15 million euros and are already negotiating with the Wolves on a potential transfer.

But Palhinha insists that her future will not be decided until the end of the season.

“There has been a lot of speculation and I don’t even know what my future will be like,” he told the Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo. “The nearest future is waiting for this to return to normal. At the end of the season, I will see what happens. “

Palhinha has also been linked to a transfer to West Ham, while reports from the mainland suggest that clubs in Spain and Germany are chasing him.
