Jet2, TUI, easyJet and Ryanair share an update on summer vacations


Major airlines, including TUI, easyJet, Jet2 and Ryanair, shared updates regarding the vacations booked this summer.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised against all non-essential travel “indefinitely” in April.

But with the coronavirus epidemic and foreclosure continuing in the UK, travel agencies have extended cancellation dates.

EasyJet has immobilized all of its aircraft and cancels flights on a seven-day continuous basis.

If you have booked a flight for later this summer, you can currently change flights at any time with no change fees.

The company also claims that you can change your flight as many times as you want, on any route, for any date until May 2021.

Once your flight is canceled, you have other options available.

You can either fill out a short form and request a refund, claim a voucher for the full value of your ticket, or be transferred on any other flight until May 2021, with no change fees or price difference.

EasyJet says they are trying to complete refund requests within 28 days

If you request a voucher, it will be emailed to the easyJet account holder who made the original reservation.

The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

EasyJet says that you do not need to travel before the expiration date and that you can book on all flights for sale at the time you redeem the voucher.

If the new reservation is greater than the value of the voucher, the difference must be paid by card, while if the new reservation is less, the remaining value is stored and can be used during a future reservation within the validity date.

TUI vacations traveling on or before June 11, 2020 no longer continue.

Customers will receive a refund credit for the full value of their vacation, including a separate booking incentive of up to 20%.

You can also request a refund.

TUI asks customers not to contact them before receiving their refund credit, due to the volume of vacation impacted.

TUI Travel Promise

If you have booked a TUI vacation or Marella cruise on or before March 16, 2020, and you plan to travel before July 11, 2020, you can change your vacation for free and your balance due date will be changed to 12 weeks before your new start. Dated.

Ryanair said the vast majority of its fleet would be immobilized until July at the earliest.

Flight change fees have been waived until May 31 and flights may be changed at any time until August 31.

Jet2 has announced that it will resume its flight program on June 17, 2020.

British Airways

You can check the status of your British Airways flight here.

If your flight has been canceled, you can book again on another flight, claim a voucher or request a refund.

If you want to change your reservation, you have two options.

For reservations made between March 3 and May 31, 2020, with a departure date until December 31, 2020, go to Manage my reservation to change your dates.
