On the day of Rishi’s death, Riddhima was in Delhi and could not reach Mumbai for the funeral. She was not granted permission to fly to Mumbai due to the national foreclosure of COVID-19. She eventually traveled to Mumbai by road with her husband Bharat Sahni and daughter Samara and was able to attend Rishi’s private prayer meeting at home and the ashes immersed on Sunday.
