Hilary Duff and “Cheaper By the Dozen” co-stars recreate iconic scenes, tease third film

Everyone loves a good look back, and apparently the cast of Cheaper by the dozen is no exception. Since the Baker family couldn’t physically get together, they gave the fans the next best thing…

Hilary Duff and other familiar faces from the 2003 family classic went on social media to remind fans of some of the movie’s most memorable moments, all for a good cause. Each member of the crew searched their wardrobe for an outfit their characters on the screen would have worn and recreated an iconic moment.

The video was appropriately set to “I’m just a kid” by Simple Plan, and was shared by Duff, Alyson Stoner, Bonnie Hunt and more with the simple caption “Surprise! From the Baker family to yours. We are all in there. #We are a family. The video encourages fans to donate to the charity No Kid Hungry, which aims to end hunger in children in the United States.

It was particularly exciting for fans who have not seen the family recover (even virtually) since Cheaper by the dozen sequel created in 2005. The film, which was a remake of the film of the same name from 1950, became an instant classic and quickly solidified its role as a benchmark for a family movie night.

TREND: The stars of “friends” come together for a charitable escape.

Last week, Alyson Stoner (who played Sarah Baker) replied to a tweet Cheaper by the dozen watch the party on Disney Plus, hinting that the Baker family had something in the works. Naturally, fans were excited about the potential for reunion. But now we can’t help but wonder … what about another wellness suite? If you watch the video closely, the last image shows the number 3 superimposed on the chest of Steve Martin.

Be careful, Duff is no stranger to reunions these days. The actress and singer recently joined the rest of the Lizzie McGuire cast (another instant classic) to do a virtual table reading of the famous bra episode (and still hilarious). The zoom recording is no shortage of laughs and surely rekindled the excitement of fans over the wait Lizzie McGuire to restart.

Please realize our 2000 dreams. We are ready.

BEFORE YOU GO: Paul Reiser’s return to “Mad About You” is the dose of nostalgia we needed.
