What did Nando say?

A Nando spokesperson said, “We are gradually rolling back our grids across the country for Nando’s new delivery service and are also offering click and collect from some of Nando.

“The safety of our customers and our team is our top priority. We have therefore been working very hard over the past few weeks to develop new measures that comply with government directives.

How does Nando’s collection service work?

Customers who choose to withdraw their order should do the following:

  • Step 1: Meet at the restaurant as usual.
  • 2nd step: Wait in one of the bays that we have marked outside (if there is not one available, please wait somewhere nearby until one).
  • Step 3: When space is available, you will be called by our host and asked to wait for your order at the restaurant.
  • Step 4: Once your order is ready, go and enjoy your peri-peri.

What other changes has Nando introduced?

Nando’s spokesperson added, “We will check with the staff before they work a shift to make sure they are feeling fit and well enough to come to work.

“We will reduce the number of people working behind the boxes to make sure they can stay within two meters of each other.

“We are going to reduce our hours of operation and our menu (but don’t worry, your favorite per-fixes should still be available).

“We will not accept walk-in or phone orders at this time to ensure that contact is kept to a minimum. We will also only accept contactless payment at this time.

“In addition to the daily hygiene briefings to keep safety in mind, we will also increase cleaning practices in the restaurant, including hand washing at regular intervals.

“We will also give our staff custom made face masks for Nando to make sure they are safe during their shift. “
