The popular television duo of Hull entertained fans throughout the lockdown, leaving everyone to cry with laughter with their hilarious shenanigans on the Channel4 show.
However, fans are stunned after the comedian couple announced that Friday’s episode (May 22) would be the last in the series – which means Jenny and Lee will no longer decorate our screens before September.
In a video posted on Twitter, Lee said: “Isolation week nine and unfortunately this is the last episode of series 15.
“We hope you enjoy the show tonight, it was a fabulous time and we will probably see you all in September. Have a great summer, keep yourself well and protect yourself. “
Fans responded to the video message by commenting on how disappointed they were that this was the last show in the series.
One fan said, “Friday will not be the same! We will miss you. “
Another commented, “Potentially the worst thing I’ve been told all year. “
Jenny’s and Lee’s funny antics on the show kept viewers high during the rough and hard times caused by the coronavirus lockout.
Some fans have begged the pair to continue entertaining during the lockdown instead of waiting until September.
One fan said, “You were the light at the end of the tunnel. Friday night is the night of laughter in our house because of you. “
Another viewer commented, “I think you should continue until the lockout ends. This is the highlight of the week. ”
One fan said, “Aww I will miss you guys in my living room every Friday … What a ray of sunshine you were during this lockdown. “
