PARIS (Reuters) – President Emmanuel Macron warned on Friday that the end of the national lockdown on May 11 would be only the first step as France seeks to emerge from the crisis created by the coronavirus outbreak.

“May 11 will not be the transition to normal life,” Macron said in a May 1 speech. “There will be several phases and May 11 will be one. “
