The Covid-19 pandemic and containment measures have led a large number of companies in France to slow down or even completely stop the use of agency workers. A number of unions and professional bodies have announced their commitment to protect all temporary workers from Covid-19.
Prism’emploi, the French association of employment agencies in cooperation with the CGT, FO, CFDT, CGC, UNSA and CFTC unions, and members of the National Joint Commission for Occupational Health and Safety (CPNSST) reached a joint decision this week calling for worker safety to be a priority in the recovery.
The members of the CPNSST asked the professional federations to remind their member companies to put in place the organizational, collective and individual measures necessary for the health security of all temporary workers.
According to the authors of the statement, “Our main objective is to ensure the safety of everyone in order to maintain the confidence and serenity necessary for work. We are also convinced that our country must, as soon as sanitary conditions allow it again, find a satisfactory level of activity in the interest of all our fellow citizens. “
In order to allow temporary workers to exercise their functions in perfect health conditions, the CPNSST has drawn up two liaison sheets, intended to support both temporary and temporary workers. This system, reflecting the tripartite organization of the temporary work contract, will make it possible to control the good progress of the missions and to alert in the event of detection of an anomaly.
Prism’emploi has declared that it will distribute these documents to its members, so that they themselves can resume business in the best conditions for employees. These documents will also be sent to temporary workers through the Social Action Fund for Temporary Work.
