PARIS (Reuters) – For the first time since the epidemic of the new coronavirus, French health authorities have not reported additional daily deaths linked to the infection, adding in a statement published on Friday that these figures will be updated on Monday May 25.
The country’s death toll on Thursday was 28,215, the fourth highest in the world behind the United States, Britain and Italy.
The number of confirmed cases increased from 393 to 144,556, an increase of 0.3%, in line with the average increase per day seen since the end of a lockout on May 11. The number of cases increased by 318 on Wednesday.
