Four more cases of coronavirus in Northumberland while two other patients die at county NHS

The latest figures from Public Health England, Sunday, May 10, confirmed that there are now a total of 865 cases of Covid-19 in Northumberland – an increase of four cases in the county.

A total of 166 patients died from Covid-19 at the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and two more deaths were announced on Sunday May 10.

In the Northeast, the total number of people who have died from the disease is now 1,175, an increase of nine since yesterday.

The NHS England has confirmed that 178 other people who test positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals in England to 23,149.

The patients were 32 to 98 years old and 12 of the patients had no known underlying medical conditions.

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust

Total number of deaths in the trust: 88

Number of deaths announced on May 10: 3

South Tees NHS Foundation Trust

Total number of deaths in the trust: 204

Number of deaths announced on May 10: 0 (note – no change Friday-Sunday)

Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Total number of deaths in trust: 102

Number of deaths announced on May 10: 1

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust

Total number of deaths in the trust: 199

Number of deaths announced on May 10: 1

Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust

Total number of deaths in the trust: 120

Number of deaths announced on May 10: 1

According to the latest figures released by Public Health England on Sunday, May 10, there are 8,950 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the North East – an increase of 59 from Saturday May 9 – as follows:
