Logan williams, who played in The flash, died suddenly on April 2. He was 16 then and would have celebrated his 17th birthday exactly a week later.
Now the mother of the late actor is talking about the cause of death for her son in hopes of helping others.
A preliminary toxicology report found that the 16-year-old star died from an overdose of fentanyl, in which his mother, Marlyse Williams, Told The New York Post.
She said that her son was struggling with a three-year addiction.
“His death will not be in vain,” she said to the publication. “It will help a lot of people on the road. “
She said the overwhelming amount of stress hearings caused her son to use marijuana. From there, Logan started trying other medications, but Marlyse said she did not know when her son started using fentanyl.
“I did everything that was humanly possible – everything a mother could do,” she said. “I did everything but handcuffed him to try to keep him safe. “
Marlyse revealed that she last saw Logan on March 30. The two prepared their favorite meal and spent an “incredible” evening together.
“He said, ‘Mom, I’m going to clean up. I will get better. And I want my new life to start, ”she recalls. “I just know that the last thing we said to each other was, ‘I love you.’ “
The night of the death of her son, Marlyse recalled for a moment that she had felt the presence of her son.
“There was the brightest moon shining on me and I swear it was Logan’s mind, letting me know he was in transition,” she said. “I really felt his energy, that he had made the transition. I just hope he is at peace. “
At the time of Logan’s death, his Radiance co-stars and fellow fellow actors shared their heartache over her loss.
“Just by hearing the devastating news that Logan Williams died suddenly,” Grant gustin shared on social media with a photo of him and Logan. “This photo was at the start of filming The flash pilot episode in 2014. I was so impressed not only by Logan’s talent but also by his professionalism on set. “
He added, “My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family during what is, I am sure, an incredibly difficult time for them. Please keep Logan and his family in your thoughts and prayers during what has been a strange and trying time for all of us. Send love to everyone. “
