Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys seem to be far apart from each other right now.
According to NFL journalist Dov Kleiman, Prescott recently denied a $ 175 million, five-year deal with the Cowboys and has pretty heavy demands. Sure, this deal is worth $ 35 million a year, but Prescott hopes to earn more than $ 45 million in his last season with the team.
It would be interesting to hear Prescott’s point of view on all of this since he is asking for much more than the market would dictate. Right now Russell Wilson is the highest paid QB in the sport, but Prescott would eventually surpass him. Wilson has a Super Bowl title while Prescott has never made it through the divisional playoff round.
Over the course of the summer, the Cowboys and Prescott may find themselves in a special place.
