Dak Prescott Denies $ 175 Million Cowboys Agreement

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys seem to be far apart from each other right now.

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys have entered into a very public contract dispute and it looks like things will not improve any time soon. Prescott wants to be paid as if he were the best quarterback in the entire NFL. While it is certainly good, it is not as good as some of the best QBs in the league. In fact, he is not even in the top 5 and he barely exceeds the top 10. Anyway, the Cowboys were ready to throw him substantial money but Prescott will not move, no matter how how hard the Cowboys are trying.

According to NFL journalist Dov Kleiman, Prescott recently denied a $ 175 million, five-year deal with the Cowboys and has pretty heavy demands. Sure, this deal is worth $ 35 million a year, but Prescott hopes to earn more than $ 45 million in his last season with the team.

It would be interesting to hear Prescott’s point of view on all of this since he is asking for much more than the market would dictate. Right now Russell Wilson is the highest paid QB in the sport, but Prescott would eventually surpass him. Wilson has a Super Bowl title while Prescott has never made it through the divisional playoff round.

Over the course of the summer, the Cowboys and Prescott may find themselves in a special place.
