Gray Bruce Public Health has reported two new cases of COVID-19, including a staff member from the Gray Gables long-term care home.
Both cases were reported on Sunday. All staff, residents and family members of the nursing home have been informed of the case.
“We take this positive test result seriously. Physical distancing strategies and intense infection control protocols are already in place to prevent home transmission, “said Jennifer Cornell, director of long-term care for Gray County.
So far, no other Gray Gables resident has tested positive, but an outbreak will be declared if a positive result is confirmed.
