Quebec reported 74 additional COVID-19 deaths on Thursday, bringing the provincial total to 4,302.

563 new cases of virus have been confirmed in the past 24 hours, for a total of 49,702 since the start of the pandemic.

The provincial government has said that 47 fewer people are hospitalized with COVID-19, marking nine consecutive days of reduction in the number of hospitalized coronavirus patients.

Six fewer people were in intensive care, for a total of 178, and 15,618 people are classified as having recovered from the disease.

527 cases have been reported in the Outaouais region. The death toll, compiled before the death of the Lionel-Émond staff member, remains at 15.
