“Counting On” fans believe Derick Dillard originally wanted to court Jana Duggar, not Jill


Derick Dillard’s ongoing feud with Jim Bob Duggar has raised many questions Counting on family. For several months, Jill Duggar’s husband has launched a series of charges against Jim Bob, including the idea that he is taking all the money from the show. Although we don’t know what Derick will say next, Counting on fans have turned things around and believe he originally wanted to woo Jill’s sister Jana Duggar.

Fans theorize about Derick’s motives for marrying Jill

Counting on fans have developed an interesting theory about Derick’s marriage to Jill. According to theory, fans believe that Derick only agreed to tie the knot with Jill because he thought the Duggars would make him rich.

As proof of theory, fans point out that Derick left his job as an accountant for Wal-Mart after he and Jill exchanged vows. Viewers argue that the only reason Derick would have ended his promising career was because he thought he was a reality star was more lucrative.

Derick’s plan didn’t work. After TLC fired him for making controversial comments on social media, Derick continued to alienate himself and Jill from the rest of the family.

Derick’s life going in a different direction, some Account
fans took the theory a step further by arguing that Jill was not the

Reddit fan theory Hollywood Gossip assumed Derick
originally wanted to try Jana but was refused for unknown reasons.

“Derick tried to bullish a bull [Jim Bob] and is
dirty. He got nothing from what he wanted, “the fan wrote.
“He didn’t have Jana. He didn’t become famous. He was not paid. “

If the theory is true, the big mystery is why Jana became Derick
down. Fans are fairly divided over what actually happened, but some believe that
Jim Bob simply told him that Jill would be better.

The Duggars, of course, never addressed rumors
Derick tries to woo Jana. Jill was one of the first of Jim Bob
girls to get married when Jana has not yet tied the knot.

As the rumors about Derick continue to heat up, Jill slowly releases himself from Jim Bob’s control. And in a recent interview, Derick opened up about their decision to leave Counting on in 2017.

According to
Sun, Derick revealed that they left the show because they didn’t
wanted to be under Jim Bob’s thumb.

“We are now trying to avoid toxic relationships for
the health and recovery of our family, “he said, adding
finally “regain control” of their lives.

Derick claims Jim Bob signed “hidden contract”
with TLC which prohibits them from obtaining certain jobs in the event of departure
the show. Derick didn’t say what kind of career he and Jill were looking for, but
he said the contract derailed their plans.

As for Jill, she left Counting on shortly after her husband. She enjoyed a brief appearance last season, but has no plans to expand her role anytime soon.

Inside Derick Dillard’s Charges Against Jim Bob

Derick has made so many claims against Jim Bob that they can be
hard to keep an eye on. This includes the idea that he and Jill were never
paid for their time Counting on.

Jill’s husband says he felt like
everyone volunteered for the show. He then said that Jim Bob basically
orchestrates all the contracts, then takes the money for him.

“For a long time, Jill and I had the impression that
the family didn’t
make money with the show, but, rather, we were presented as children
something that was done as a department that TLC subsidized periodically in the
form [of] reimbursements for things like gas, restaurants, travel, etc. But
no real wages on top of that, “he wrote on social media.

Jim Bob did not respond to Derick Dillard’s complaints.
