NEW YORK CITY (WABC) – Staten Island leaders have sent a letter to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo saying they are ready to reopen the borough’s economy, authorities say the borough has respected the seven measures necessary for reopening.

New York State Senator Andrew Lanza, two council members and two assembly members say the two borough hospitals have the number of beds available and have met hospitalization rates.

They urge the governor to consider each borough separately, so that Staten Island does not have to wait for the other boroughs to reopen.
