Coronavirus Causes Food Industry Crisis In Europe

Across Europe, a large part of the food and agricultural industry has been severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the Netherlands, half of the fishermen have stopped going out to sea. The price of fresh fish has dropped due to lack of demand.

In France, 150,000 tonnes of quality cheese exploded last week because farmers cannot sell them.

And many warehouses that store fresh produce across Europe are now reaching their maximum capacity.
