Cody Rhodes reveals how old he is thinking of retiring, who he wants to take care of first

Cody Rhodes interviewed AEW presenter Tony Schivanoe tonight before heading to the TNT Championship final against Lance Archer. The finals will take place on May 23 at Double or nothing.

Cody revealed in the interview that he wanted to fight to the age of 40, but he doesn’t know if that’s right. He will be 35 in June. Cody also explained that he was still trying to be a better wrestler than the day before.

“Every day since I started, who’s really 15,” said Cody. “Since I started, I tried to be a better wrestler the next day. So I’ll be 35 in June. And I said I would only do that until I was 40 years old. I don’t know if that’s right. It’s rarely in the fight. But, that’s what I said. “

He added that he wanted to make sure Brandi and his mother never had to work one day in their lives. These two are his motivation and he wants them to know that he took care of them while working in professional wrestling.

“I want to make sure that two people in particular will never have a day in their life,” said Cody. “It’s my wife who chooses to work every day because that’s what she is, and my mom, who refuses to recognize that I always try to do everything I can to take care of she. You know her. But I want to make sure they know I did it, and I did it with the fight. “
