They haven’t gotten the title yet, but some Celtic fans expect the call to be a formality in the coming days.

And one of those fans is the politician and Tommy Sheridan.

The former MSP posted a cheeky post on his YouTube channel to celebrate the expected triumph of the Parkhead club.

Celtic should receive the Scottish Premiership after the 12 best flying clubs, including Glasgow’s rivals, the Rangers, have reached a unanimous consensus to be declared champions of the league.

In the address, Sheridan pretends to read the Rangers’ evidence package against the FBCL – before turning the paper he reads to show an image celebrating the alleged ninth title spin triumph.

“We didn’t want to be rewarded nine times in a row before the season ended,” said Sheridan.

“Because we knew the 13-point gap would have become a 20-point gap at the end of the remaining eight games.

“We knew we would have beaten the Rangers at Ibrox and Parkhead and we knew the Rangers would lose more points.

“The Rangers must give up bleating. Come on! This season, Celtic has been the best team. You can say that until the end of the year it was stuffy, the two teams were doing well.

“Celtic had done better than in previous seasons, but they still had only one point ahead, with the Rangers in a game in hand. But since the start of the year, since 2020, Celtic has been like a steam train.

“We are playing glorious football, scoring for fun, winning game after game while the Rangers are falling point after point.

“There is no asterisk next to nine in a row. 2020 is won. 2019/20, the title is won.

“And what we are going to do in 2021 is that we will go down in history. Lenny will lead us to 10 in a row. And off we go, 10 in a row. “
