Until recently, I was not the biggest fan of CBS All Access. As a smaller service with pretty niche offerings, I haven’t seen a ton of appeal when compared to the many other options available. But I have a confession: this is a streaming service that you should definitely consider subscribing to as a must-have entertainment center, and yes, maybe even to replace your Netflix subscription. When CBS All Access was launched about 500 years ago, in 2014, its programming was, uh, not particularly interesting. Of course, that was fine for an unconditional CBS or someone hoping to get on demand or access the next day to newly aired episodes of his shows. But that was about it.
This is no longer the case.
CBS ‘scrappy streaming service has steadily strengthened its content offerings, bringing together the best parts of some competing services, including live TV coverage, quality original content, and a catalog of movies and franchise series like Star trek, blurred area, and The Good Wife / Fight. And according to the company, the service is getting even more premium titles in the coming months.

During a status of the results ViacomCBS CEO Bob Bakish said this week that the company “is speeding up our plans for an extended subscription service”, with “major changes” building on CBS All Access arriving over the summer . Hulu is pretty good– Particularly for its à la carte and grouping options – but again, quite expensive. And other services tend to focus on a well, whether it’s live or on-demand TV or sports.
CBS All Access, however, is a great adult service that does a lot of good. This is a service for someone who wants to watch good on-demand shows and movies, get a pinch of live TV coverage, and maybe watch an occasional soccer game (when these come back, well sure). And even if it’s not the only service you’re subscribed to, it’s pretty inexpensive – $ 6 a month with ads and $ 10 a month without – that you can afford to combine with, say, a subscription HBO Max or Disney +. For now, at least, CBS All Access is the service that others should emulate, and the one you should consider subscribing to.
