Bret Michaelshe’s looking for nothing but a good time at a socially distant concert or ball game … he’s ready to find balance and compromise, as long as he’s safe. The Poison singer tells us that he saw extracts from the first “socially distant” indoor concert during the pandemic – a Travis McCready concert in Arkansas – and said his band would happily do the same, provided there were some guarantees. Bret, who is immunocompromised – due to diabetes and skin cancer – says that everyone in the industry is anxious to get back on the scene… and as soon as he is assured that it is safe and responsible, he is ready to rock. Hell, Bret is even ready to make a backpack instead !!! At the Travis McCready concert, there was a small crowd and everyone was wearing masks. People had their temperature checked before entering the site and the bathrooms were limited to 10 people at a time. Bret admits that the new normal will be difficult for artists like him … because nothing socially distant crowd shouts Rock ‘n’ Roll. What difficulty? Watch him talk about compromise and respect in the crowd instead of the fans losing him in a mosh pit. Words did NOT flow easily from the tongue for Bret, but he is ready to do whatever is necessary to replay live or attend a sporting event. Ultimately, Bret is that we are all in the same boat, which means that we all have to adapt. He also had a special message for our essential workers and our front line workers.
