Black Mirror season 6 doesn’t happen soon, says creator Charlie Brooker

Don’t expect Black Mirror Season 6 to be released soon; Creator Charlie Brooker has revealed that he is not currently working on any new scripts for his dystopian anthology series. In an interview with Radio Times, Brooker explains that

it’s probably not a good time for more Black Mirror stories due to the new coronavirus. “At the moment, I don’t know what the stomach is for stories of crumbling societies, so I’m not working on any of them,” Brooker told Radio Times. “I’m sort of wanting to revisit my comic skills, so I wrote scripts to make me laugh. “June 2019 was the last time we had a new batch of Black Mirror episodes starring stars like Anthony Mackie and Miley Cyrus. In our glowing review, we say, “The fifth season of Black Mirror is one of the best in the series, with a condensed bundle of new stories that offer great storytelling, interesting characters, and fascinating technologies that don’t eclipse the deeply personal stories of Charlie Brooker. “If you miss Black Mirror, all seasons, including the interactive movie Bandersnatch, are currently available for streaming on Netflix. And if you just want more from Brooker, his series of television reviews – Antiviral Swipe – returns for a unique “special quarantine”, which will air on BBC Two on Thursday May 14 in the UK.
