The two men clashed – with their sons, Homer Murray and Hunter Fieri – in Friday’s special challenge to create the best plate of nachos. The competition, which raised funds for the Fieri’s Restaurant Employee Relief Fund, was judged by the Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal and actor Terry Crews. The charity is raising funds for restaurant workers affected by the coronavirus pandemic.Homer who did most of the cooking for the Murrays, while Bill coached and heckled his competition, lobbying for judges to penalize the Fieris for using macaroni and cheese in their nacho creation.
As the competition was taking place virtually, there was no taste test to determine a winner. Although O’Neal gave the Murrays the green light, the crews went with the Fieris. Host Carla Hall cast the decisive vote for the Fieris. In the end, Murray learned the hard way that when you come to the King of Flavortown, you shouldn’t miss it.
