Piers Morgan was replaced by Ben on Good Morning Britain today

Ben replaced Piers today on GMB after the host was forced to withdraw from the show after showing certain symptoms of coronavirus.

Presenting the show today, Ben announced, “As you can see, I’m not Piers! “

“Yes, it’s therapeutic,” joked Susanna Reid, before reading Piers’ tweet last night.

He wrote: “UPDATE: On medical advice, and out of caution for a mild symptom that has appeared in the past 48 hours, I have taken a test for COVID-19 and will therefore not work on @GMB until to get the result, which should be tomorrow. ”

She soon returned, and Piers increased her episodes to four a week and vowed to get the answers the audience wanted on COVID-19.

After posting the news on Twitter, Piers received a huge response from his supporters.

One fan tweeted, “I hope you’re ok Piers. We need you! “

Another said, “I hope everything is fine. We need you. “

Others commented on the fact that Piers had been in the GMB studio for weeks, so they wondered if he should have been there.

But Piers had only started to experience “mild symptoms” in the past 48 hours and was not present on Friday.
