BEFORE CHRIST. reports 3 deaths, 15 new cases while COVID-19 recovery rate is around 80%


British Columbia reported three new deaths and 15 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.

In her daily briefing, Dr. Bonnie Henry, provincial health worker, said that almost 79% of the 2,392 test cases in British Columbia have now fully recovered.

The virus has claimed the lives of 135 people in the province. Of the remaining 372 active cases, 58 were in hospital on Thursday, a dozen of them in intensive care.

Henry said there were no new community outbreaks on Thursday.

An outbreak at the Coquitlam Superior Poultry Processing Plant has been declared completed, and the facility has received the green light to reopen, with safety precautions, added Henry.

Earlier Thursday, the province said ICBC costs were falling due to fewer claims during the pandemic, but the state-owned company could lose up to $ 1 billion in investment.
