Apollo crews could turn on their heels to join a new stable on WWE RAW

As Apollo Crews was pulled from Sunday’s Money in the Bank ladder match due to a script injury to the hands of United States champion Andrade, it looks like his push will continue.

There has been speculation about crews who could go full heel and be in a stable with WWE NXT Superstars Brendan Vink and Shane Thorne, who would be led by the MVP. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that this stable is one of the many options being considered for crews, but not necessarily the final management for him.

There was a lot of social media criticism of how WWE had apparently stopped the surge of money in Crews’ bank before it really started. As the MITB ladder match was recorded at WWE headquarters during the week of April 13, the scenario was still that crews qualified but did not participate due to the return of AJ Styles. WWE seeks to compensate for what happened to Crews by giving it more visibility. He could be the main active superstar in the team with Vink, Thorne and MVP at the mouth, if that happens.

As noted earlier on this link, WWE has big plans for Vink and officials see it as a long-term project that will end up getting a major boost, unless things change. WWE had Vink and Thorne beat Ricochet and Cedric Alexander on RAW this week, after the MVP cheered them on for the whole week before the match. The MVP said after this week’s RAW that it was inviting Thorne and Vink to join him. There is no word yet on how the crews would join them, or when he could return from the knee injury from the script.

Stay tuned for updates on crew plans and the possible new RAW stable.
