Coyotes president and CEO Ahron Cohen is no longer a member of the organization, sources said. Cohen has been with the Coyotes for almost five years. Cohen was hired in August 2015 under former majority owner Andrew Barroway, as the team’s chief operating officer and legal director. He was appointed President and CEO in July 2018, replacing Steve Patterson, who was appointed to the same positions in July 2017. Under Cohen’s leadership, the Coyotes have seen improvement in several areas, including sales tickets, attendance, sponsorship sales and television ratings.

While there had been speculation about the future of coaches and managers before this season, Alex Meruelo, who bought a 95% stake in the team less than a year ago, granted John Chayka extended his contract in November and the coaching staff is expected to return intact next season, the final year of head coach Rick Tocchet’s contract.
