Ahmaud Arbery case: Georgia public prosecutor requests investigation into the behavior of district prosecutors

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr announced Tuesday that he has asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to investigate the actions of two district attorneys involved in the Ahmaud Arbery case. The case concerned “possible prosecutor’s misconduct” by the district prosecutor’s offices, the GBI said in a statement.

“Unfortunately, many questions and concerns have arisen regarding, among other things, communications and actions taken by Brunswick district attorneys and Waycross Circuits,” Carr said in a statement Tuesday. “As a result, we have asked GBI to conduct a review to determine if the process has been compromised in any way. “

The case is now at its fourth prosecutor, after multiple conflicts of interest.
