It was not the legend that caught the eye – it was the visible amount of weight that Adele lost. Recent paparazzi photos gave fans a glimpse of the singer’s weight loss, but her photo seemed to spark much more interest in her transformation.
“I mean, you’re making fun of me,” said Chrissy Teigen.
“THIS SIZE IS SNATCHEDDDDDDD !!!! Kalen Allen, who works on The Ellen Show, wrote.
“Omg no te reconocí ? estás hermosa,” commented Colombian YouTube star Lulu99, translating to “Oh my God, I didn’t recognize you. You are beautiful. “
“You have worked so hard to look like this and I am so glad you have your goal, but I want to tell you that for me you have always been a spectacular, beautiful and sexy woman,” wrote the TV personality. Spanish Nagore Robles.
While most of the comments on Adele’s Instagram photo were positive and complimentary, others criticized the amount of attention social media users and the media paid to the singer’s weight loss.
“I see that Adèle has a tendency because people say how beautiful she has been since losing weight. You have all passed this point … Your weight does not determine your beauty. Your appearance doesn’t determine your beauty “The number on the scale doesn’t make you worthy or unworthy,” tweeted Melissa Blake, blogger and disability activist.
“Can we please not celebrate Adele for losing weight as if it were the ultimate achievement?” News articles and tweets are disgusting, “beauty blogger Katie Meehan tweeted.
“Yes, Adele is incredible, Adele was incredible before losing weight too, Adele is incredible”, tweeted journalist Emma Kelly.
“Adele losing weight does not mean that she was not beautiful at any size and complimenting her appearance now does not take away from that fact! Her body, her choice for her appearance. You do yourself, my daughter! Happy Birthday, May sister, “film and television critic Writes Hanna Ines Flint.
Adele, who keeps much of her personal life private, has not spoken openly about her weight loss, although others have done so for her. Many media have written about the star’s regime and transformation, citing “insiders” and “friends.”
It does not seem that the singer responded to this new frenzy on her body. Perhaps the 15 Grammy winner (and nominated 18 times) is focusing on her next album, which fans also craved in comments on her Instagram post.
