Aaron Sorkin did not write or direct “The Proposal” … but he had his hand everywhere this proposition… after having helped a budding screenwriter to propose to his GF. Spoiler alert… SHE SAID YES !!! So here’s how it went… the famous writer / producer / director was a guest speaker Thursday at the Conservatory of the American Film Institute in Los Angeles – a prestigious institution that has already ranked the # 1 film school in the world. Before the launch of the Harold Lloyd Master Seminar, John Graney – a student studying screenwriting at the Institute – hit his teacher and asked if there was any way to ask Sorkin to help him offer his boyfriend, Leticia, who is also a student at the Institute and a HUGE fan of Sorkin. Side note: who is NOT a big fan of Sorkin? “Some good men ?! “Moneyball?!? “” The west wing. “ Whatever … Aaron was there. Sorkin prefaced the proposal by warning Leticia that he was seriously aware of what was going to happen. You can hear almost more than 150 students in class holding their collective breath. Some of John’s friends cheered him on before removing the engagement ring. John and Leticia officially sealed the proposal with a kiss. You see, some good men still exist.
