Samantha Bracksieck, girlfriend of New York Yankees fielder Aaron Judge, spoke of the star beater several times during a traffic stop in February.

As the following video obtained by TMZ shows, Bracksieck made several references to Judge during the traffic stop, which ended with his arrest:

“Do you know who my boyfriend is?” Bracksieck asked at one point before expressing concern about the reaction to his arrest. “It will be bad for me,” she added.

The arrest took place the night of February 25 in Scottsdale, Arizona, after police said they had arrested her for driving without a headlight on. Bracksieck said she had two glasses of wine before driving, and after recording a blood alcohol level of 0.12 on the breathalyzer, she was arrested and charged with five crimes, including Extreme DUI.

The legal limit in Arizona is 0.08 BAC.

Bracksieck also told police: “My boyfriend is not in a place where I should be, as if it were happening. He is like a public figure. So, like, I’m stopped for, like, having two glasses of wine is not OK. “

The 26-year-old also said the judge was ” in the spotlight of New York media in general. ”

According to TMZ, officers said Bracksieck had two more breathalysers at the police station, which resulted in readings of 0.169 and 0.181, both of which are more than twice the legal limit.

Bracksieck is scheduled to appear in court in June and could be sentenced to prison if found guilty.

Meanwhile, the judge and the other Major League Baseball players await a word on the potential start of the 2020 season, which will begin in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.

The judge is treating a rib injury that would have kept him away for the first few months if the season had started in late March as planned, but the delay due to COVID-19 could mean that he will be ready to play at the start of the season.
