“Patient 326”, a 20-year-old resident of Ward 19 in the Binh Thanh district of Ho Chi Minh City, arrived at Tan Son Nhat airport on flight VN008 from France on Sunday.
She was quarantined upon arrival at Division 317 military camp in the Hoc Mon district at HCMC. The result of his coronavirus test came out positive on Monday. She is currently being treated at the Cu Chi Field Hospital, HCMC.
The last patient brings the nation’s balance sheet to 326, of which 54 are active cases, 272 having been discharged after treatment.
On Monday, five patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
A Vietnamese woman who returned from Russia two weeks ago was confirmed on Monday afternoon free at Covid-19. The 47-year-old woman recovered after 12 days of treatment at No. 2 Hospital in the northern province of Quang Ninh. With her recovery, Quang Ninh, who shelters the famous Ha Long Bay, is now released from Covid-19 patients.
On Monday evening, the Ministry of Health confirmed the healing of four patients from Bac Lieu province in the Mekong Delta. They have been tested negative several times and will be followed up for an additional 14 days at Bac Lieu General Hospital.
Bac Lieu currently treats 13 patients. The four new recoveries were among the 17 patients who returned from Dubai on flight VN88 which landed at Can Tho Airport on May 3.
Of the Covid-19 cases in Vietnam, 186 were imported and quarantined during the landing, while the rest were cases found in the community. Vietnam crossed 39 days without recording any community transmission. Of the 54 active patients, seven tested negative once and four others twice.
The country is currently quarantining more than 15,000 people who have come into contact with confirmed cases and / or who are returning from areas affected by a pandemic. Among them, 58 are isolated in hospitals, while more than 8,000 are in concentrated facilities and the rest are under quarantine at home.
