WWE Money in the Bank 2020 was an exciting event to say the least. In the main event, we saw Asuka and Otis win the MITB briefcase for their respective categories. Additionally, we haven’t seen any of the WWE titles change hands, but that has given us major clues to what can happen in the weeks to come.
But during the short PPV, there were quite a few moments that had implications beyond the Money in the Bank event. From massive changes in the gadget to a few mistakes in the production crew, there were certain places that could have been missed in the blink of an eye. However, while some of them mainly added the comedic element to the PPV, others indicated long-term narration.
In this article, we are going to take a look at five interesting details that fans missed during the PPV. So without further ado, let’s get started.
# 5 Seth Rollins teased a head game at Money in the Bank
WWE champions Drew McIntyre defended his title in the Money in the Bank session for the first time since winning gold at WrestleMania 36 after a splendid victory over Brock Lesnar. Last night, Scott The Scottish Psychopath ’faced Seth Rollins, who also defeated‘ Beast Incarnate ’at the biggest milestone in their history.
Although McIntyre and Rollins were able to deliver a much better game, their Money in the Bank fight was one of the greatest moments of the PPV. The story was told well and the two Superstars had the opportunity to establish their dominance. In the end, McIntyre triumphed with the help of a deadly kick from Claymore who helped him maintain his WWE Championship.
In the weeks leading up to this game, the “Monday Evening Messiah” vehemently claimed that he was a true leader and that he should lead WWE through these difficult times. McIntyre, on the other hand, didn’t care because he wanted to prove that he was more than capable of leading the RAW. Fortunately for him, McIntyre chose to lead by example. After the match ended, he offered to shake hands with Rollins as a sign of respect, and surprisingly, the Monday evening Messiah forced him to do so.
This decision was certainly felt in the current gadget that Rollins described on the red mark. But it is interesting to note that this was his second consecutive loss to the PPV. In addition, a new theme song and Buddy Murphy’s absence from the ring made it look like Rollins was changing his mind. That said, I don’t think this is the right time for Rollins to face because RAW needs help right now. After the Money in the Bank 2020 event, it will be interesting to see what awaits Seth Rollins.
Seth Rollins was involved in a rather scathing assault on Rey Mysterio on RAW tonight, but then said that he did not understand what was going on in his mind at the moment. So only time will tell us what the next stage of the Messiah will be on Monday evening.
